    Smoky Black Tea Tallow Candle
Hand-Poured in Reusable Clay Vessels | Grounded, Smoky & Artisanal

Experience the soul-warming fragrance of smoked tea, sacred woods, and ancient resins with our Smoky Black Tea Tallow Candle—an intimate collaboration between Summer Solace and Berkeley ceramicist Matt Fishman. Poured into reusable, food-safe terracotta vessels crafted from locally foraged Sierra Mountain clays, this candle captures the spirit of Northern California through scent, form, and fire.

Each vessel is one-of-a-kind, shaped and pit-fired by hand, with natural variation in color and texture. The candle within offers a slow, clean burn, infused with aromatic botanicals, regenerative suet tallow, and local beeswax.

    Fragrance Profile

    • Lapsang Souchong Black Tea – Deeply smoky and warming

    • Choya Loban – Distilled from terra cotta pots; earthy, resinous, and ritualistic

    • Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) – Grounding and slightly sweet

    • Moroccan Cardamom Pods – Warm, spiced, and gently floral

    • Siam Wood (Vietnam) – Transcendent, dry, and calming

    • Omani Frankincense Resins – Sacred, smoky, and clearing
